Anode for Bravo lower unit propellers

Anodes sacrifice themselves for the benefit of the protected metals. They must be cleaned and replaced regularly. Caution: once worn beyond 60%, they no longer retain their protective capacity. For seawater, use an anode made either of zinc alloy or aluminium alloy. For equal output, an aluminium anode weighs three times less than a zinc anode, offers a higher electronegative potential and pollutes less. Perfectly suited to protecting aluminium hulls. For freshwater use only, a magnesium anode is preferable. Bulk anodes are sold in minimum quantities of 5.
