The Multiplus 2 has all the functions of the MultiPlus, with an external current transformer option to implement the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions, and to optimise self-consumption with an external current sensor (32 A max.). PowerControl and PowerAssist – Boosting the capacity of the grid or of a generator A maximum current can be set for the generator or the grid. The MultiPlus-II then takes the other AC loads into account and will use only the surplus for charging, thus avoiding any overload of the grid or generator supply (PowerControl function). The PowerAssist function adds a further dimension to the PowerControl principle. If a high peak power demand is often required for a short time, the MultiPlus-II will compensate for the lack of power from the generator, the shore supply or the grid with energy from the battery. And when the demand decreases, the surplus power will be used to recharge the batteries. The main output has an uninterruptible power supply function. In the event of a mains failure or disconnection of the shore power or of the generator, the MultiPlus-II takes over the supply to the connected loads. This transfer is so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that the operation of connected computers or other sensitive electronic equipment will not be disturbed. The second output is live only when AC power is available at the MultiPlus-II input. Loads that would not discharge the battery, such as a water heater for example, can be connected to this output. When combined with a GX device (e.g. a Cerbo GX), you can monitor and control your Multi and your system or systems either locally (LAN) or remotely over the Internet from anywhere in the world through the free VRM app and the free VRM website. You can access it from a phone, a tablet, a laptop or a PC running various operating systems.
