3M™ 501C fibre-backed abrasive discs
Zirconia alumina grains fracture to produce a constantly sharp edge that allows a faster cut than aluminium oxide and is suitable for material removal on all metals, including stainless steel. The rigid fibre backing provides the durability needed for weld removal and other medium pressure applications such as deburring or rust removal. Durable resin bond resistant to heat-induced degradation, increasing the service life of the disc and offering excellent mineral retention for edge grinding. The closed coat allows an extended service life and the 22.23 mm centre hole backing is compatible with 3M™ back-up pads and hubs and requires the use of a disc retaining nut (all sold separately).
