Fuel polisher P510MAM

During distribution and storage, fuels can be contaminated by impurities such as dirt, rust, water and microbial growth. This can lead to a number of costly problems. The Racor P510MAM series fuel polishing system with pump and filter protects the engine's built-in filters by removing water and impurities from polluted fuel before it enters the engine's fuel tank. Passing the fuel through the polishing system reduces the number of elements to be replaced in the built-in filtration systems and ensures optimum efficiency. Fuel polishing is particularly important in standby power applications, as degraded fuel generally clogs filters within just a few minutes, causing the engine to shut down. The P510MAM series uses Racor's Aquabloc® media. This media incorporates spaced-pleat corrugations and a graduated pore structure to increase impurity holding capacity as well as filter service life. Waterproof and rustproof, it captures impurities while being specially treated to separate and coalesce water out of the fuel. The polishing system is also equipped with a 12/24 V DC brushless motor, an electrical harness with control module, a metal bowl and a stainless steel water-in-fuel sensor. The P510MAM series can be installed on a fuel tank for continuous loop operation or integrated into a marine day-tank transfer system. Operating principle: The Racor P510MAM fuel polishing system is normally connected to a closed-circuit system with a fuel tank. The fuel leaves the tank and enters the module. It first passes through the main pleated filter cartridge, which blocks particles and free water, which are then retained by the media and collected in the collector bowl. Clean, water-free fuel enters the fuel pump, then returns to the tank or the system, depending on the application. The P510MAM system incorporates high-performance Aquabloc® filter media in a cartridge-shaped design that offers superior filtration while being environmentally friendly and incinerable. All Racor filter seals and materials are compatible with ultra-low sulphur diesel and biofuels up to B20 blends. The fuel polishing module's pump is an electronic pump with a 12/24 V DC brushless motor capable of a flow rate of 227 l/h (60 gal/h). Benefits: • Removal of free water that often accumulates at the bottom of fuel cans, tanks or drums. Free water forms when humid air inside a container or tank cools to the point where it condenses into water. • Removal of solid particles (for example, sand and silica particles) released into the air during transfer and distribution. • Prevention of costly injector damage and extended service life of downstream filters. • Time and cost savings by eliminating unplanned maintenance and unscheduled downtime caused by system component failure. • Installation on a fuel tank for continuous loop operation, or integration into a marine day-tank transfer system. • Environmentally friendly and biodiesel-compatible Features: • Innovative modular water-separating fuel filter, bottom-loading design • Suction-side fuel conditioning module • Unique housing format with M16-1.5 ORB ports (adapters available) • 12 and/or 24 V DC brushless electronic fuel pump, flow rate 227 l/h (60 gal/h) • High-performance Aquabloc® filter media in a pleated cartridge-shaped element • Water-in-fuel sensor • Control module for the water-in-fuel sensor and the pump • All models are fitted with a reusable, removable contaminant collector bowl • Fire resistance testing carried out in accordance with the UL 1105 standard • Operating temperature: -40 to +121 °C (-40 to +255 °F) Applications: • Diesel and biodiesel • Kerosene • Petrol • Domestic heating oil
