Mould insert for through-hull
TruDesign moulding plugs for recessed skin fittings are designed to form the recess in a glass fibre (GRP) hull that is required for the flush mounting of a TruDesign recessed fitting of a given size. Moulded from polypropylene, they are single-use disposable items that considerably reduce the time and complexity of installing recessed skin fittings. Each recess can now be formed in the hull while the glass fibre is being laid up, rather than requiring the hull to be CNC machined or cut and shaped by hand at each through-hull position after release from the mould.
