Speedy Carbonium

Top-of-the-range two-component antifouling with a semi-hard matrix, specifically developed for sailing yachts and boats intended for racing. This product is based on carbon as the active component, which gives hulls a high level of slipperiness for high-level performance. Fast drying (two coats in the same day) and smooth film. Spray application is recommended in order to obtain an extremely uniform film. It is possible to sand with No. P600 abrasive paper under wet conditions to obtain an extremely smooth surface. It meets the IMO requirements (AFS/CONF/26) for antifoulings and it contains active substances in compliance with the BPR regulation (Regulation (EU) No. 528/2012). The maximum period before putting the antifouling into service, after the application of the last coat, is one month. SURFACE PREPARATION: Surfaces with old antifouling: Good condition: remove contaminants and any vegetation by high-pressure washing with fresh water. Wet sanding with 120-180 grit paper. If the old antifouling is unknown and/or of a different nature, apply a coat of a Ticoprene-type sealer. Poor condition: remove contaminants, any vegetation and material that is not properly adhering by high-pressure washing with fresh water. Wet sanding with 80-120 grit paper or with light blasting, taking care not to damage the coating system beneath the old antifouling. Apply a coat of ADHERPOX or TICOPRENE primer over the whole treated area before applying the antifouling. New or bare surfaces: Fibreglass: Degrease the surface to be treated with solvent or a suitable detergent. Pressure wash with fresh water and remove any oil or grease residue. All surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry and free from contaminants. Sand with No. P180 – P220 abrasive paper and apply a coat of primer to the treated surface. Before proceeding with the application, blow with clean, dry air in order to remove any sanding residue or dirt. Dangerous. Observe the precautions for use. Use biocides safely.
