Battery Balancer

The Battery Balancer equalises the state of charge of two 12 V batteries connected in series, or of several strings of batteries connected in series, these strings themselves being connected in parallel. If the charge voltage of a 24 V battery system rises above 27 V, the battery balancer will switch on and compare the voltage across the two batteries connected in series. The balancer will draw a current of up to 1 A from the battery (or the batteries connected in parallel) with the highest voltage. The resulting charge current difference will ensure that all batteries converge towards the same state of charge. Where required, several balancers can be installed in parallel. A 48 V battery bank can be balanced with three battery balancers.
