Retaining compound 648

LOCTITE® 648 is designed for the bonding of cylindrical fitting parts. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces. Its function is to prevent loosening and leakage caused by shock and vibration. It offers robust curing performance. The product also works on passive substrates, withstands high temperatures and shows good oil tolerance. Resistant to high temperatures. Designed to tolerate slight contamination by industrial oils. High strength on all metals, including passive substrates (e.g. stainless steel). Ideal for securing slip fitted or press fitted assemblies. WRAS Approval (BS 6920): 0808532.
