Tefgel

A small amount of Tef-Gel is enough to prevent the galvanic exchange of electrons and the resulting corrosion between different metals and materials (aluminium, stainless steel, carbon, etc.) Tef-Gel applied to both surfaces of nut and bolt, or bolt and tapped hole, leaves a solid film of PTFE which prevents corrosion seizing. PTFE is an ultra-fine powder which extrudes out of the contact surface and into the cavities of the surrounding surfaces. Tef-Gel can also be used as a seawater-resistant lubricant and as a sealant to prevent water ingress. As Tef-Gel contains no volatile solvent, it does not evaporate, freeze or dry out, and it protects components over the long term, allowing easy disassembly. Tef-Gel prevents corrosion seizing of stainless steel, Inconel and other nickel alloys. Tef-Gel is not an electrical insulator, and it does not increase the electrical resistance of connections.
